The Wavetronix mobile Smartsensor HD is a non-intrusive side fired radar system which is ideal for use when fixed to a portable power source unit like the T-25, or a permanent fixed location on new or existing furniture. As a congestion buster, this device is used for advanced warning of potential traffic congestion or queues via pCMS or fixed variable message signs. The purpose is to inform motorists and allow them to make necessary changes to their route. It can also be used as a data collection unit using bespoke software through GPRS. Whatever its use, it’s ideal as a back up, when existing road embedded loops have been switched off due to work or incidents, or in the absence of any localised Data Collection Systems. It is particularly beneficial as it can communicate with an existing outstation using our bespoke contact closure card. As such, the Smartsensor HD Date Collection system continues to allow the collection of data to take place.
